Vulcania and the Volcan de Lemptégy

This is the must-visit duo for understanding our volcanoes as a family, in any season. About 45 minutes away, you can choose between immersive 3D experiences and descending into the heart of an open crater; these two exceptional sites offer a unique geological journey.

Château de Murol

It's the favorite visit for children (and grown-ups too). This fortified castle overlooks the entire valley and takes you right back to the Middle Ages. In summer, the knight shows and costumed guided tours are wonderfully done. It's lively, you really feel like you're there, and the view from the ramparts is superb.

The medieval village of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise

Just 30 minutes from Le Clos Auvergnat, the medieval village of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise is one of the most beautiful villages in Auvergne. Its cobbled streets of Volvic stone, Renaissance houses, and 12th-century Romanesque church transport you to the heart of Auvergne's heritage.
