La Banne d'Ordanche

It’s a must-see in the area. This volcanic peak offers one of the most beautiful 360° views of the Sancy Massif without requiring a superhuman effort.

Recommended route: Start from the Bornettes parking lot. An easy loop that climbs to the summit (1,512 m).

Le Clos's tip: Go there for sunset. The light on the Sancy ridges is magical.

The Guéry Plateau

Just a few minutes from the cabin, the Guéry Mountain Center is a must-see destination, summer or winter. Nestled between the lake and the forest, the atmosphere changes completely.

Recommended route: The "Plateaux du Guéry" trail. It offers views of the famous Tuilière and Sanadoire rocks (the remains of two volcanoes facing each other).

Tip from Le Clos: Thanks to its high elevation and wooded sections, this is the perfect spot for a refreshing hike in the summer.

The Sancy Massif

For those who enjoy hiking in the mountains or want to explore the highest peak in the Massif Central, the Sancy is the ultimate playground.

Recommended route: For hikers, the ascent via the Fontaine Salée Valley (more rugged and less crowded than the resort side). For families, the loop around Lake Pavin or the Val de Courre.

Tip from Le Clos: We recommend setting out early in the morning to spot the chamois and mouflon, which are often seen on the ridges at dawn.
